Nina Davuluri is a public speaker, advocate, and previously-reigned Miss America. Nina has been and is currently working on a project to turn cherished sari fabrics that were passed down generationally and turn them into something more so she could hold the sacredness everyday.
This was inspired by an Indian Barbie doll she used to have when she was 8 years old. The doll wore a Rani Pink Saree but it was uninspiring, so she found her grandmother's Rani Pink Saree and turned into a beautiful dress.
